“well said bouncey bouncey, i would like to add that i think their products are priced far to highly, when you compare them with supermarket own brands, its obvious that no one will buy them.”

“Nothing to do with multi-national corporate greed, and more to do with incompetance at all levels of management at Seven Seas. After very nearly losing their appropriate licenses on more than one occasion, tumbling sales, poor marketing and a very suspicious 'accidental' fire wiping out hundreds of tonnes of stock, Merck have been subsidising what has been an inadequate operation for a while now. It has stood still, whilst it's competitors (Vitabiotics etc) have sailed past them.

A real shame. A great Hull brand will live on, but thanks to complacency and poor direction, the manufacturing and jobs in Hull will not. I hear toad-boy Turner was on the tube last night. Well Mr Turner, sorry, this one's not on the recession, the 'coalition', or cuts; it's on the people at the top of this once great brand, so you'll need to find a new drum to bang.

I wonder, will HDM now start another campaign to save this site a la BAE? Or was that just a cynical marketing stunt? ;-)”

“It's all about greed! big wig's selling to oversea companies to fill there very own back pockets (i'm alright jack keep your hands off my stack!!) and quite naturally eventually the oversea company will close it down and move elswhere for cheaper labour. The 70s british workforce instigated this problem through striking at every opportunuity available; there is no manufacturing going on in Britain anymore which can't be good at all for the ecomony all the big name British manufacturers all bought out and lost in some European giant company. Siemens is now to me becoming a joke 3 years in the talk and still no further on it wouldn't surprise it will land up in Norway!!!!!!”
