Plans have been submitted to replace the fire station in Clough Road, Hull.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service wants to build a new £3.9m facility on the same site.

The service believes the current three-storey facility, built in 1958, is in poor condition with inadequate accommodation to carry out its operations effectively.
The new station would be used for firefighting, marine rescue, training and administrative support.

The fire service hopes the new station, if granted planning permission, would be up and running by 2018.

“Bet a few people like Doctors, nurses, shift workers, Council staff etc wish their workplace could be knocked down and rebuilt at a cost of 4 million quid because its over 50 years old, is in poor condition and has inadequate accommodation, dont you?.”
