Hundreds of people have turned up to take part in the Harlem Shake flash mob in Hull city centre this evening.
The crowd of dancers responded to an invitation on Facebook to take part in the dance, which started at Queens Gardens before moving to Queen Victoria Square and then on to the Princes Quay Shopping Centre.
Police said about 500 people took part.
Many turned up in fancy dress, with costumes including cartoon characters, pieces of fruit and robots.

“Plumduff - no, I can't quantify it. Quantification isn't necessary when it comes to dissecting your comments, though - it's plain for all to see that you're way off the mark, you miserable, negative plonker.”

“Oh leave them alone! They were just having a laugh, and not hurting anyone. I'd rather that they spend their time doing that than joyriding or drinking in the street.”

"Just because they may be of "college age" doesnt mean they are at college. And if they where then surely they should have been at school/college. Oh, and could you quantify the term "most"? Thank you"
Well many of Malet Lambert were there, years 9 to 11. I've got family there who went. It was held after school for a reason. Many of their friends on Facebook from other schools were there. So basically your comment was ill informed. You considered a career in journalism? The Daily Mail are always recruiting, you'd be a natural. :p”

“What a moronic comment that was, Plumduff. Most of those kids are of school/college age.”

“You can certainly see who the misers are on here.
Kids doing something daft and having a bit of fun.
Is that not what being a child is about?”

“This would never have happened when I was at school. All the idiots in each school were too bust organising punch ups with other schools. There would have been a riot.
So when the nimbys start moaning about the youth of today, they may have their faults and the odd idiot, but generally I believe they are better behaved than when I was young.
All credit to them.”
