'Academy is compiling report for authority'
The local authority is responsible for the welfare and safety of children in East Riding schools, both maintained and academies.
In incidents where children are hurt or injured we would expect to be informed of what happened and then provide support and advice as appropriate to the situation.
In the case of the incident involving pupils from South Hunsley School and cows, three children received minor bruising. As with any incident of this nature, the academy is compiling a report and will share this with the local authority.
