“I'm Right, Hessle. No doubt you were the White Van Man passing me at around 90mph on the A63 the other day. With attitudes likes yours I know for certain that I'm Right.”

“It'll be even worse once we get the new Tesco and the volume of traffic increases along here. I appreciate that most Tesco users will come from Brough, but you can bet your life that all the scum from caravan park will have to come to see how the other half live in the East Riding!”

“Got to admit that drivers mincing along slip roads at 30mph & the red arrows exit manoeuvre are two of my personal hates. I saw a crawling 4X4 nearly get creamed out by a waggon on the CSW doing the former trick not so long back”

“I'm right, Hessle - and what about the ones who think the speed limit is 50mph when it's 70, or think that there car is a phonebox/grooming salon/place to have a domestic.
WATCH WHERE YOU'RE DRIVING THAT TONNE OF STEEL!”

“Peter, Swanland - Please keep your stupid ideas to yourself. Nobody wants average speed camera's and they will, in no way what-so-ever help with the problems we experience on this road.
I use this road everday. Problems include dippy drivers trying to get on the dual carriageway at 30mph & thinking their doing the 'safe' thing by moving slowly. Idiots hanging in the outside lane until the last possible second before turning off onto the slip road. The recent revised 50mph section of road heading in to Hull which is pointless. Retarded drivers who are not at work but still insist on leaving the house before 9.00am. More retarded drivers who can't navigate the slightly sharp corner under the bridge at 70mph and therfore brake to 50mph causing a knock on effect. Even more retarded drivers who slow down before leaving on the slip road - slip roads are designed to be long enough for you to slow down so that you can leave the dual carriageway at 70mph and not affect the flow of traffic. Lastly - Even more retarded drivers who think the speed limit is 60mph!”

“Two of my employees missed their flights to Paris from Leeds today, as were stuck in the queue, with no way off the A63.
They had allowed an extra hour for traffic, as well as two hours to get to the airport, so were not cutting it fine, but this is just ludicrous.”

“Just what are our local councils doing about this situation. Economically this area cannot afford to have its main road either closed or blocked due to accidents or vehicle breakdowns. The reason for the accidents is down to speed and bad driving. Many lorry drivers and white van drivers think they are on Brands Hatch. I have suggested before an variable average speed limit from the end of the M62. All lorries should be forced onto the inside lane only. The appointment of a road manager to make sure that vehicle breakdowns are cleared quickly and that the police do not unnecessarily delay the opening of the road again. Someone, somewhere is going to have to wake up this very serious local problem.”
