Andy White to play Fruit at Hull Marina
He swapped the drizzly Irish weather for sunny Australia and continues to win over fans across the globe.
Originally from Belfast but now living Down Under, singer Andy White will perform in Hull next month.
His album Songwriter was described as his best yet and it marked another high in a long and outstanding career.
Andy has also published his semi-autobiographical 21st Century Troubadour – an often hilarious account of life as a musician on the road.

He has also toured North America and Europe with his friend Stephen Fearing to support their joint album Fearing and White.
Ivan Martin, one of Northern Ireland's top DJs, said: "Songwriter is on repeat in my car stereo and if Andy never writes another song in his life – it doesn't matter.
"If You Want It is simply one of the best songs I've ever heard."
The Stage called Andy "an international treasure" and a storyteller in the classical mould who weaves his words with "gorgeous melodies and wry humour".
They called him "blisteringly romantic without being sentimental".
Andy's sister, Irish actress Cathy White will also be performing with him on the night and throughout the tour.
He has released ten studio albums from Rave On Andy White back in 1986 to Songwriter in 2009 and a book of poetry The Music Of What Happens.
Having worked with the great names of Irish music – Sinead O'Connor, Donal Lunny and Van Morrison, he is highly regarded in the music industry.
Andy's latest compilation CD, named after his book, will be released later this month and includes songs mostly taken from his last four solo albums – including favourites If You Want It, Italian Girls On Mopeds and Travelling Circus.
The second CD is what Andy describes as an "audio book with a soundtrack", with six readings set to music, a bebop poem from his second volume of poetry Stolen Moments and a song recorded in Melbourne, Australia.
Andy documents the world and its current chaos and beauty with remarkable insight, from Religious Persuasion to Six String Street.
As he says in I Decided To Fly, wherever he is, with an acoustic guitar in his hand, he is still "blowing bubbles on the Lisburn Road".
