Anthony Wilson brace as North Ferriby beat Blyth Spartans to extend lead at top
NORTH Ferriby made it three wins out of three over the festive season as they gained a deserved 3-2 home win over Blyth Spartans.
Ferriby’s joy was compounded by a defeat for second-placed Hednesford Town, who now trail the table-topping Villagers by seven points.

Anthony Wilson scored twice for North Ferriby United.
Ferriby dominated the first half and should have been two or three goals ahead at the break, but Blyth keeper Conor Grant did well to hold a Dean Lisles header and got behind Gregg Anderson’s 20-yard drive.
The opening goal Ferriby deserved came after 20 minutes, with Liam King finding Ryan Williams and his ball allowed Ryan Kendall to cross to the far post for Anthony Wilson to head home.
