Artist donates painting to help church
HUGGATE: Village artist Simon Wallace has donated one of his original oil paintings to help the village's 14th century St Mary's Church raise £20,000 for essential repairs.
The painting, called Huggate – Late Summer, will be a prize in the village Christmas draw. Other novel prizes include a sack of potatoes and winter fuel.
