Awkward lies . . . ball below feet
Hitting the ball when it is positioned below your feet isn't easy
Playing a shot when the ball is lower than the feet is one of the most difficult shots in golf and it is easy to understand why.
Beginner golfers find it easier to contact the ball when it is raised in the air on a tee and more difficult when it is on the ground. Now, when the ball is below the feet, it is acutally lower than ground level.
The tendancy is for the ball to be topped or pushed right so here are a few tips to make this shot easier to execute.

1. Make sure you grip the full length of the club.
2. Stand slightly closer to the ball than normal so you can reach it much more easily through your swing.

3. Angle the body close to perpendicular with the ground but sit deeper in the heels at address and let the weight feel more on the heels. This will help you to maintain good balance throughout the shot.
4. Keep the suspension radius constant and don't pull up for fall forward during your swing.

5. Aim to the left an amount that is relative to the clubface and allow for the ball to slice right.

6. Finally, swing "within yourself" and try to keep good balance and a steady head position.
