Ben Amos can have defining season with Hull City, says Steve Bruce
STEVE Bruce believes the best is yet to come from goalkeeper Ben Amos as the rookie sets his sights on a defining season with Hull City.
Amos has established himself as the Tigers' undoubted number one since arriving on a year-long loan from Manchester United.

Getting better with every game: Hull City goalkeeper Ben Amos
He further strengthened his grip on the position with another composed performance in City's 3-2 win at Leeds on Tuesday.
As well as winning his second England under-21s cap earlier this month, the 22-year-old has featured in every minute of City's impressive start to the campaign, leaking just five goals in six Championship games.

Amos is targeting a successful season with the Tigers as a means to push for a place in Sir Alex Ferguson's plans at Old Trafford, and Bruce says the rookie can continue to impress.
"It's a big year for Ben. It's all right having potential, which he's got bags of, but it's all about getting games and experience now," Bruce said.
"We knew he was a very competent goalkeeper, you're not at Manchester United without having that ability.
"He can be pleased with the start he's had here and the more games he plays, the better he will become I'm sure.
"The England under-21s cap will help him along with that and that's why he's here, to step up his development. He's enjoying the challenge of playing regular first-team football and I'm very pleased with him."
Amos has so far managed to fend off the competition of Mark Oxley and fellow summer recruit Eldin Jakupovic, but Bruce does not want any complacency.
"The one weapon a manager has is competition for places. It's Ben who is the front runner at the minute but the challenge is there for all the goalkeepers," he said.

“Competition from Oxley? He's not played a single game for the first team!”
