Food festival attracts thousands >video
Thousands of people flooded Beverley's Saturday Market to sample the delightful delicacies on offer at the third annual food festival.
Travelling from far and wide, the visitors were treated to fresh sprouts, and an array of jams and cheeses alongside meats, wines and chutneys.
Matt Snowden, of Beverley Town Council, who is the chairman of the Food Festival board, said the event had been a huge success.
He said: "It just exploded again and it was brilliant.
"It is always touch and go before hand. You never know how many people are going to turn up, but then the weather cleared and people came out in droves.
"We've had more stalls this year. We tried to fit as many in as we can and we've got more entertainment.
"Just looking at the crowds, the smiles and how happy the stall holders are shows it's been a success."
The importance of the festival for the town as a whole was key to keeping the food festival going, said Mr Snowden.
He said: "It is really important for the economic regeneration of somewhere like Beverley.
"We have a lot of pubs, cafés, restaurants and shops that wouldn't usually get much trade on a Sunday."
The festival was welcomed by Beverley residents also.
Martin Mortimer, 53, and wife Carole, 50, from Crawshaw Avenue, told the Mail it was a "wonderful" day.

“Tasty stuff. It's homegrown events such as this that give Beverley its unique flavour. And you can never have too much meat. After all, MAN WILL EAT.”

“Well thank you richard.
As one of the main organisers of the food festival, I'd like to thank you for your persuasian for never advising people to come to hull.
You represent the worst of small minded people and I know that with such views your city will never grow.
I hope you enjoy the rock you live under.”
