“then why do people become bone-idle and not use them, this is the reason for crossings”

“Would the victim have on a pair of those beer goggles and been trying to flag down (by running into the road) anything that moves by any chance?”

“It's not surprising that anybody hit by a taxi in the small hours has suffered serious injuries.
I used to have to pick the missus up from work around midnight and if you drove down Beverley Road observing the speed limit, it felt like you were stood still.
If they operated a "Safety" camera during the small hours, situated somewhere between the Cottingham Road and Fountain Road junctions of Beverley Road, it'd make a fortune.”

“The Bull, The Park, The Rose, Hull's very own Bermuda Triangle...over the years some strange and inexplicable things have occurred in this area. During the second world war, a whole flight of American Mustang fighter planes went missing; they never were found.”

“Whats the bet that there was a perfectly suitable and well lit/sign posted road crossing just feet away from the incident”
