Santas are needed for this year's Beverley Santa Run
Adam Jackson, 21, is planning to walk the 3k course of the Beverley Santa Run – despite still being in recovery from a double lung and liver transplant.
The run has been held in the town for the past two years in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Participants wear Santa outfits – creating a red and white spectacle.
But this year the event – which is due to take place on Sunday – was almost cancelled due to a dramatic drop in numbers.
Adam's dad, Chris, 51, from the Defence School of Transport, in Leconfield, urged people across the region to support the event and help raise much-needed money.
Mr Jackson said: "When you consider cystic fibrosis is one of the most common serious inherited diseases in this country, you realise how important the Cystic Fibrosis Trust is.
"Adam will be in hospital again tomorrow for a lung biopsy but he is determined to take part on Sunday."
For details, or to enter the run, call 0845 8591024 or 07762 365 337.
