BISHOP Burton College mixed hockey team won 7-0 on their travels to Askham Bryan College.

Bishop Burton started the match showing a lot of promise, but failed to score early on.

Good defending by Olivia Byas, Kat Donaldson, Alice Petch and Tom Jackson, managed to keep a clean sheet for the whole game, with a lot of help from the Bishop Burton keeper Robert Knapton.

Good work by Jess Ellwood and Lisette Vincent-Jones led to the first goal for Bishop Burton with Jack White scoring.

The second half started strongly for Bishop Burton, with John Gitau scoring a screamer from a short corner.

Hans Coux contributed a lot and got himself on to the score sheet to make it 3-0 to Bishop Burton.

Jack Lund made his first appearance for the Bishop Burton hockey team and enjoyed an exceptional game, preventing any attacks that came through from Askham Bryan.

Jack White scored a hat-trick by getting himself around the pitch and finishing very well, while John Gitau scored his second of the game with some great movement and another outstanding finish.

Captain Tom Jackson managed to get himself onto the score sheet in the last few minutes making the final score 7-0 to Bishop Burton.
