Bogus phone calls warning over cash prize claims
Police have issued a warning about bogus callers after a man phoned a number of Hull women claiming they had won cash and a car.
The man said he worked for a magazine.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting log 558 of December 28.

Totally agree with the comments so far....
Are the women ex-directory? These devious sales calls we all get use random number generators to dial ex-directory numbers then hope some mug give away personal information.
Just tell anyone you don't know to clear off, or what a mate of mine does is say in a phony American accent "your call is important to us, you are number 963, please hold for one of our customer care assistants, thank you.."
Then put the receiver down and get on with something else...
