Traffic on the Humber Bridge is continuing to show increases after toll charges were slashed, figures show.

An additional 67,028 vehicles crossed the bridge from the week ending Sunday, August 5 to the week ending Sunday, September 2, compared with the same period last year.

The data, from the Humber Bridge Board, shows a total of 685,107 trips were made across the bridge in that time, compared to 618,074 last year.

Tolls were reduced on April 1 this year, with fees for cars halved from £3 to £1.50.
