TRAFFIC levels on the Humber Bridge continued to rise last month, new figures show.

Data released by the Humber Bridge Board shows a total of 467,784 vehicles crossed the bridge in the four weeks to Sunday, December 30. That represents an increase of 62,541 on the same period in 2011.

Toll fees on the bridge were halved to £1.50 for cars on April 1 last year.

Since then, more than five million vehicles have crossed the bridge, an increase of 9.21 per cent on the same period of 2011.
