BRIDLINGTON Town took over at the top of the table with a 5-0 win over Long Eaton United.

Town took the lead after 17 minutes when Steve Lyon struck the ball home after Nathan Cook had hit the bar.

Craig Hogg netted the second on 35 minutes after he got goal side of Ian McWheat to reach a cross from Lyon.

Seasiders doubled their tally with two goals immediately before half time.

Joe Danby finished a three-man move by converting a pass from Hogg (44 minutes) and a minute later Craig Palmer celebrated his return to Town after a spell with Scarborough Athletic by heading home a James Bennett free kick.

Five minutes from time Joe Danby fired home from 10 yards.

Town: Wilberforce, Danby, Brunton, McNamara (Aaron Allanson 65), Lee (c), C.Cook, Lyon (Reffin 68), Bennett, Palmer, N.Cook, Hogg (Chippendale 57). Sub not used: Harrison.
