“Was the driver Blind? There are signs well before the bridge at both ends, On chants ave there is a sign with a yellow background with the height of the bridge on it. Sat nav is no excuse. People like him give us good Hgv drivers a bad name. And i don't think palletline will get the insurance for the truck as its the drivers stupid fault. This has to be driving without due care and should be prosecuted and made to take an extended hgv test if he wants to drive a class 2 hgv.”

“@ How Stupid
"i" in first person should be "I"
"wouldnt" should be "wouldn't"
"new" should be "knew"
"......stupid thing he....." should be "........stupid thing. He......"
"lifes" should be "lives"
"how" should have a capital "H"
"....of you he....." should be ".....of you. He......"
"hasnt" should be "hasn't"
"intelegance" should be "intelligence"
I think when you call people stupid, you should look at your intelligence first. English grammer and spelling is obviously not your first skill.”

“As an HGV driver I'm sorry to say that there is no effing excuse for a driver to hit a bridge. They are signposted AND the driver should always know the height of his vehicle. It is a legal requirement that there is a height indicator in the cab. If the driver is unsure that it is set at the wrong height, then he should measure the height of his lorry. I always carry a tape measure for that very reason.
It's not as though the bridge was 'close' to being high enough. His lorry must be at least 13ft 6ins probably more, so to try to get under such a low bridge is unforgivable. If he'd been paying attention he would have realised how low it looked as he approached it, and stopped. Then reverse back and turn around. Muppet !!!”
