Stars of the 80s here today for Hull's Big Party In The Park

Rick Astley, Banarama, ABC and East 17 are among the acts performing at East Park in Holderness Road, east Hull, today.

Packed crowds were expected to attend Hull's Big Party In The Park.

The event is organised by Premier Concerts Limited and Magic 1161, in conjunction with Kingston Communications and Hull City Council.

Acts take to the stage from 6.45pm.

Tomorrow, a family fun day will be held in the park, with children's favourite Fireman Sam taking to the stage at 1pm and 3.30pm.

Tickets for tonight's event cost £30 on the gate. Entry for tomorrow's activities cost £15 for adults and £13 for children.

    “This was a cracking night and its a shame Hull people dont attend these events more. It would promote the city more and bring bigger names to the city. Even the local paper HDM did a poxy picture of Rick Astly and didnt show pictures of the people that did attend that made an effort and dress up for the occasion. Then they wonder why nobody bothers buying it.”
