Hull charity gets £27k to support minority groups
HULL: A city charity has been awarded £27,300 to support people from ethnic minorities in the city.
The Humber All Nations Alliance (Hana) has been give the cash by the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales for two years.
It will be used to fund salaries and office expenses for the charity, which provides services for people from black and ethnic minority communities across Hull and East Yorkshire.
Jane Thompson, fundraising co-ordinator for Hana, said: "The grant we have been awarded will allow us to continue to provide much- needed services to those most vulnerable in the area, as well as to facilitate community cohesion."
