HULL: Places are still available to take part in a fire walk for charity.

The walk has been organised by Hull and East Riding Institute for the Blind (Herib) in conjunction with specialists Blaze Firewalking.

There will be a two-hour motivational session for all participants prior to walking, which will include instruction and advice.

Supporters are welcome to attend the event, which starts at 6.30pm on Thursday, October 11, at David Lloyd fitness centre in Kingswood.

HULL: City Life Hull is hosting a Caribbean Kitchen night at its Wright Street café on Friday, October 5, from 7pm as part of its Harvest 2012 celebrations.

Tickets cost £10 and will be sold in advance. From Monday, October 1 to Sunday, October 7, there will be an exhibition by Hull Art Facebook group Food.

There will also be a Planting The Seed night on the Thursday evening with news of a new city-wide grow-your-own initiative.

E YORKS: A dance company is on the lookout for young people to take part in auditions.

The East Riding Youth Dance County Company was formed in October 2007 and is aimed at people aged between 14 and 18.

Auditions will be held on Sunday at Woldgate College, Pocklington.

Rehearsals throughout the year will take place at the college on Sundays from 9.30am to 1.30pm.

The group, which will meet fortnightly, will represent the county at local, regional and national performance events.
