EAST YORKS: A breast cancer survivor was so grateful to doctors she arranged a fundraising concert at Beverley Minster to say thank you and raised £5,754.

Naomi Merriweather, right, arranged for two choirs to perform and collected money for the oncology unit at Castle Hill Hospital.

Minster vicar the Reverend Jeremy Fletcher was also involved in organising the event, which raised funds for the church as well as the hospital.

Miss Merriweather said: "This is all about standing up and saying thank you to everyone who helped me. My care at the breast care unit at Castle Hill Hospital has been astounding.
