WEST HULL: A cyclist suffered a collapsed lung after an accident with a car.

The accident happened at the junction of Fountain Road and Beverley Road at about 8.40am on Thursday.

The Beverley man, 46, was cycling on his white and blue road bike when it was involved in a crash with a green Vauxhall Astra being driven by a woman from Hull.

The cyclist fell to the ground and sustained fractured ribs and a collapsed lung.
