HULL: A man received a two-year antisocial behaviour order (Asbo) for burning cable on land in Hedon Road.

Glen Hopkins, 37, of Tweed Grove, Longhill Estate, was burning cable between Preston Road and Hedon Road, close to a number of properties.

Following complaints from businesses in the area, Hull City Council's neighbourhood nuisance team completed an investigation and obtained CCTV footage and intelligence from PCSOs.

Hull Magistrates' Court found Hopkins guilty of three offences of cable burning and he received a two-year order, 12-month conditional discharge and £150 costs.
