It is intended to dramatise the protesters' view that police will turn a blind eye to wildlife crime, while surveying and intimidating animal rights, environmental and peace activists.

WILLERBY: A dental practice has been nominated for a national award.

In December, staff from Manor Dental Health will attend an awards ceremony in Leicester.

They have been shortlisted for Best Dental Team in the North East.

The practice is based at 236 Willerby Road. It was established by Nick Allday more than 13 years ago.

Mr Allday said: "I believe how the team works and complements one another is noticed by our patients.

"It is their enthusiasm and good humour that rubs off on people and makes them more likely to be ambassadors for the practice."

The team was also shortlisted last year and practice employee Jodie Wilberforce was awarded Best Nurse in the North East.

HULL: The Carnegie Heritage Centre in Anlaby Road will be closed for decorating from Monday to Saturday, November 3.

The centre will be open as usual on Sunday, November 4, for a talk by Jim Shaw on wartime Evacuees.

The talk will start at 1.30pm. Entrants must donate £1 to help with the building's upkeep.
