Driver bailed over Sam Brown crash death on B1230

A woman arrested in connection with a crash that killed a 15-year-old boy has been bailed by police.

The 67-year-old woman was arrested after the car she was driving hit Sam Brown and his friend as they cycled along the B1230 near Eastrington.

She was later released on bail and has now be re-bailed by police to a date in January.

Sam, a pupil at Howden School and Technology College, was pronounced dead in hospital shortly after the crash in September.

His friend, who was also 15, suffered fractures and bruising and was treated in Hull Royal Infirmary.

Police are continuing to investigate the accident. Any witnesses should call Humberside Police on 101, quoting log 693 of September 6.
