Humber Quays housing plan set to be turned down
HULL: Outline plans to build homes on a prominent waterfront site overlooking the Humber are being recommended for refusal when they go before councillors next month.
Planning officers at Hull City Council say the design of the proposed development on derelict land at Humber Quays does not feature sufficient quality.
Engineering firm C Spencer, which owns the land, has submitted an outline planning application for 88 homes and a convenience store.
But a report for next month's planning committee says: "The proposal, while of a good standard of design in itself, does not give special treatment to this important river frontage site."

“"important river frontage site"! Don't make me laugh. It's piece of scruffy old derelict wasteland.”

“OK - why is this not approved but Manor abominations are approved? Anyone? Bueller?”
