The phone arrives fully charged and ready to use straight from the box, so there is no complicated set-up. The battery will typically last up to five days and the number of the phone is written clearly on the back.

Helen Young, shop manager at Age UK Beverley, said: "Many older people and their families have told us that current mobile phones can be really complex, so we're delighted to be launching the Age UK My Phone."

The phone is available from Age UK's shop in Wednesday Market, Beverley.
