EAST YORKS: A campaign encouraging women to be aware of ovarian cancer symptoms has been launched.

The Be Clear On Cancer campaign, which urges women to seek medical advice for persistent bloating, is being piloted across East Yorkshire.

Sharon Hodgson, chair of the all-party parliamentary group on ovarian cancer, said: "We won't rest until as many women know to seek help for persistent bloating as they do for a breast lump."

The campaign is being supported by the ovarian cancer charities The Eve Appeal, Ovacome, Ovarian Cancer Action and Target Ovarian Cancer.
