In Brief
EAST RIDING: A free myth-busting event about social media and apprenticeships is fully subscribed after a rush for places.
Thursday's event, which has been organised by East Riding Council and the Federation of Small Businesses, is the latest in a series designed to support the local economy.
Councillor Jane Evison, cabinet portfolio holder for economic development, tourism and rural issues at East Riding Council, said: "The response to these free events has been phenomenal and shows the appetite in the East Riding from local businesses, in spite of the difficult economic climate, to grow and thrive.
"Apprenticeships offer a range of benefits to apprentices and businesses who take them on."
