E RIDING: A school near Goole is seeking permission for an extension to provide more classrooms.
Hook Church Of England Primary School in Garth Lane, Hook, wants to build to one-storey extensions to increase its capacity.
In its design and access statement, the applicant said: "The proposed development would provide additional accommodation to an existing school, thereby making efficient use of the existing site."
The application will be considered by East Riding Council's planning committee in March.

E RIDING: A winter seashore walk will take place next month along the Flamborough coast.
People can join Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's Living Seas team on Sunday, for the walk from 2pm to 4pm.
The circular walk along the beach will go from South Landing beach to Danes Dyke and back along the coastal path. Those taking part should meet at the South Landing car park.
