Hull North MP Diana Johnson will be moving a Ten Minute Rule motion entitled Bishops (Consecration of Women) in the House of Commons on Wednesday.

The measure would extend the Church of England's 1992 General Synod decision to allow women to be priests.

It follows the blocking of the reform in the Church of England General Synod last year.
