Man in court charged with attempted rape in Hull city centre

HULL: A man charged with attempted rape has appeared at Hull Magistrates' Court.

Rolands Brize, 25, was remanded in custody yesterday and will appear at Hull Crown Court on April 8.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the assault in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A woman, 23, was allegedly attacked on Myton Bridge between 2.30am and 3.15am.

She did not know her attacker and the pair were on the left side of the carriageway walking towards Hedon Road, near the car park for the Premier Inn hotel.

The woman suffered bruising and grazing to her legs, knees and back and required treatment at Hull Royal Infirmary.
