In Brief
HULL: A kindhearted bank worker is organising a spring ball to raise funds for Dove House Hospice.
Cheryl Turner, a mortgage adviser at Yorkshire Bank, came up with the idea after being encouraged to support the bank's charity partner, Help The Hospices.
Ms Turner said: "Yorkshire Bank will match some of the funds we raise on the night as part of the partnership with Help The Hospices, so we're really hoping to get as much interest as possible to ensure the ball is a sellout."
Employees from Yorkshire Bank have raised £2.6m for Help The Hospices since the partnership began in 2008.
