A bus driver was taken to hospital after his vehicle hit a car.

The crash happened in Paull Road in Paull on Friday evening and left the bus half in a ditch.

The male driver of the car was helped out of the vehicle by the fire service and taken to Hull Royal Infirmary on a spinal board.

Paramedics gave a precautionary check to the bus driver and three passengers, but they did not need further medical treatment.

Emergency crews from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service used winches and props to help stabilise the bus, so paramedics could get in.
