Cake made for pop star 'liked' by thousands

AN EAST Hull cake business has been given a boost after delivering a dessert to pop star Ed Sheeran.

Hull Cake Boutique in Lee Street created a personalised cake for the singer before he played a gig at the city's Ice Arena earlier this month.

Ed took a picture of the cake and posted it on his Twitter page, which has more than 3m followers.

The photograph was "liked" by more than 40,000 people from around the world.

Hull Cake Boutique made the cake out of vanilla and Victoria sponge and created a sugar paste figure of Ed sitting on a sofa.
