Campaign to tackle bullying on school buses
EAST YORKS: An advertising campaign has been launched to tackle bullying and antisocial behaviour on home-to-school transport.
Buswise is a single point of contact for all issues relating to school bus services, allowing people to report problems.

A double-decker bus has been wrapped in a poster to highlight the East Riding Council and East Yorkshire Motor Services campaign.
Councillor Symon Fraser, East Riding portfolio holder for environment, said: "Drivers and passengers should be able to go about their day-to-day lives without incident."

Councillor Jackie Cracknell, portfolio holder for community partnerships, said: "Antisocial behaviour on buses will not be tolerated."
The bus will operate throughout the East Riding and will raise awareness to children and parents that Buswise offers a discreet reporting system for them to bring up their concerns.
Issues reported are then sent to schools or operators for further investigation.

“Wrapping a bus in an advertisement won't make any difference what is needed is supervision on the buses. Behaviour on them is appalling, and most kids won't complain to buswise.”
