Car and van crash in Hessle

Three elderly people had to be rescued by fire crews after a crash in Hessle this afternoon.

The collision involved a car and a van in Boothferry Road.

One elderly man and two elderly women were rescued from the car by Humberside Fire and Rescue Service. They were taken to Hull Royal Infirmary suffering from minor injuries.

The man in the van was treated by paramedics at the scene and then taken to hospital with abdominal injuries.
