Omari Caro: Craig Sandercock's Hull KR home truths were well deserved
HULL KR winger Omari Caro admits he and his team-mates have been told a few home truths by coach Craig Sandercock as they continue their search for their first win of the season.
Caro said training this week has been their most intense so far as they prepare to face Widnes at MS3 Craven Park on Sunday.

Craig Sandercock has given his Hull KR side some home truths after two successive defeats.
After successive defeats to Catalan and Wakefield, Caro has no problem with what Sandercock said to him and the rest of the players.
"Craig told us a few home truths this week in training," Caro told the Mail.

"We have deserved it after the way we have started the season.
"Craig told players what is expected of them and what we need to do to beat Widnes.
"There is a massive emphasis on winning on Sunday.
"It has been a really intense week at training and it needs to be. I'd say it's been the hardest week of training for some time."
Despite the poor start to the season, Caro admits the belief is still strong within the camp.
With two successive defeats, it would be understandable for Sandercock to simplify the gameplan in a bid to break their win duck, but Caro said the tactics won't change after working so hard on them in pre-season training.
"We are sticking with the same gameplan," Caro said.
"We have belief in what we have done in pre-season.
"If we didn't have belief then there's no point in turning up for training. On paper, we should be winning every week, but it doesn't always work out that way.
"We've not had too much luck and when we have our full squad available, we'll do better."
Full-back Greg Eden is expected to return after missing the first two matches because of a hamstring injury.
Widnes have started with a win in London and a close defeat to St Helens.
Caro is looking forward to the match after starting the season well with one try in his first two games.
"Widnes have started the season well," Caro said.
"We can't take them for granted. We just want to get our first win of the season for the fans.
"They have suffered enough and they deserve a win."
Caro has settled into life at Hull very well since moving up from London and has been one of Rovers' better players thus far.
He has yet to make an error and is averaging 9.1 metres from his 19 carries and he is already off the mark with a try in the 32-24 defeat to Catalan in the opening round.
"I'm enjoying life up here in Hull," he said.
"The lads have made me feel very welcome. Being happy off the pitch has helped me enjoy my rugby on it.
"I managed to get down to London before the season started so that has helped me too."

"keeping the opposition down to 30 odd points a game isnt to bad,"
Dixter the Fraud, are you going to St Helens tonight?
I BEL13VE you won't be there. You're so consistent, you watch every game on tv, home and away.
All talk and no substance.
Muppet.

“So this is we're the FC lunatics spend there time.
If not insulting the Allamd and Hull City they insult Hull KR and there supporters.
How sad is that.
The FC fans need to grow up and get a life.
They should be more worried about Adam Pearson desire to move back into Football.
I wonder who would buy FC and take on there debts. .
And FC fans.....No I don't support Rovers....
And no I am not another poster
Good Luck Rovers.
From now on I will be hoping FC will get thrashed every time they play.”

“fc on the drop you posted "Widnes are a totally different animal this year,
do you reckon they will put 50 past your lot this year not the 40+ they did last year?”

“Like every Rovers supporter I wanted to get to the end of the first four matches and be saying "what a big improvement,4/4." I really thought that could happen until I saw the side for the first game. Then worse, the same mistakes in game two.
Anyone could pick Rovers best back division when everyone is fit or not suspended,it's who is selected now that is the problem, before we even start on motivation, fitness, workrate, tactics etc.
To have Latus training at fullback and in the 19 man squad, but disrupt the teams attack by playing Hall there is just one blunder, another is Horne in the centre, or Withers at off-half and 3 hookers in the 17. It's not a question of who is SL standard, because Heil isn't,but neither is Caro,Salter,
Latus or Mika. It's a question of giving young fringe players a chance until the first choices are available, not putting round pegs in square holes to guarantee gaps everywhere.
I would much rather see young players having a go and not being quite good enough than watch overblown imports with an apparently blase` attitude to matches.
If Easter is to bring a genuine review then roll on Easter I say.”

Horne at centre you must be totally blinkered he is one of the worst centres I have seen in a rovers shirt, if CS plays him in that position he cannot have much confidence in the young centre Heil”

“Ben Cross is a big loss for Widnes but KR have plenty of problems themselves
Very unlucky against St Helens, 4-4 up until the sending off and sin-binning of Jon Clarke.
A narrow Widnes win for me.”

“Widnes are a totally different animal this year, many pundits tipping them to make the play-offs. I agree, i think they'll be battling for the 8th spot with Wakey, Cas and the Bulls. A home loss for KR would be hilarious, and could even mean an O.B.E. for Sandercock. (Out Before Easter).”
