Card skimming or card cloning devices are used by fraudsters to capture credit and debit card details from the public at cash points, ticket machines and retail outlets.
The terms 'skimming' or 'cloning' are used to describe how a criminal copies a card's electronic data which is then used to recreate an exact copy of your card and gain access to your money.

“They should at least put a notice near the ATMs to alert other users. If the police know which machines have been tampered with, surely they'll have the culprits on CCTV?
Maybe more ATM's should be situated inside stores to prevent the machines being tampered with? Co-Op have ATMs inside their stores, others should follow suit as many people are wary of using them outside in case they're robbed.”

“Any chance of telling people exactly which machines in the "Anlaby Road/Holderness Road area" are thought to have been tampered with. This may allow your readers to better consider whether they may have used the suspect ATM's or not”
