Celebrity Wedding Planner TV show sparks rush to get married at The Deep in Hull
THE Deep has seen a 300 per cent upsurge in queries from couples wanting to get married at the aquarium after featuring on national television.
The Hull attraction starred on Channel 5's Celebrity Wedding Planner on Friday night when actor Martin Kemp and rapper MC Harvey took control of Hull couple Lisa Frank and Mark Spence's wedding.
The celebrities were given a choice of holding the ceremony at the Guildhall, a place in York or The Deep.
The Hull aquarium was chosen, which has proved a huge boost for the aquarium's wedding credentials.

Freya Cross, The Deep's corporate and business centre manager, is delighted with the response since the programme was televised.
She said: "We have seen a real upsurge in enquiries since Celebrity Wedding Planner aired on Friday – about a 300 per cent increase.
"They began coming in literally after the programme had finished and have resulted in a number of viewings.
"We are delighted the programme reached so many people and that they are now considering us as a venue.
"It showed what we are able to do here at The Deep and the quality service we offer.
"We have a fantastic number of weddings confirmed for 2013 and 2014, so this will only increase once they see us."
Lisa and Mark, of Sutton Road, east Hull, have been together four-and-a-half years and were planning their wedding before little boy Flynn came along.
Lisa said the couple were very nervous about meeting the mystery celebrities and it was only on the day of the dress fitting that Martin and Harvey were revealed.
The pair became good friends on Celebrity Big Brother and were given £12,000 to plan their wedding, which ended up being a vintage-themed ceremony at The Deep.
The reception was at Priory Cottages in North Yorkshire.
For their honeymoon, the couple will jet off to Lara Beach in Antalya, Turkey, later this year.
The Deep is licensed for civil ceremonies throughout the building, which can take place in a number of places, from the front of the Endless Oceans tank to the observatory.
