East Hull fish and chip shop unveils £80k revamp just months after opening
AN EAST Hull chip shop has undergone an £80,000 refurbishment – just a few months after opening its doors.
East Park Chippy has undergone the major renovation in order to cope with demand since it opened its doors in January.

The shop in Holderness Road attracts visitors from across East Yorkshire and the queues often extend outside.
Owner Matty Kinsley said the upgrade was needed after a very busy first few months of trading.

"The support from the public since we opened has been overwhelming," he said. "I had originally planned for the refurbishment to take about 18 months but business has been fantastic, so I pushed for it to be completed in six months.
"It is a big relief to see it finished. Now, we can continue with what we do best – serving the best fish and chips to our loyal customers."
The new-look shop includes an energy efficient fryer, a state-of-the-art till, a new shop front, updated lighting, a new patio with railings and new menus.
Matty, who lives in Leads Road, said: "All of the changes are geared towards providing a better service to the customers.
"We pride ourselves on excellent customer service as well as the quality of our products. The refurbishment will improve both of these.
"We can now get fish out to customers within six minutes and, thanks to the technology in the fryer, the end product will be much better."
Customer Beryl Adamson, 60, of Brindley Street, was impressed.
She said: "The shop is always busy. You often have to queue out of the door, especially at weekends.
"It looks fantastic. It is very clean and it serves the best fish and chips in Hull, so it's great to have it just around the corner."
Becky Dicks, an assistant at the shop, said the changes are better for everyone.
Becky, 20, of Bransholme, said: "There is more room behind the counter and the facilities help us to deliver better customer service."
The shop had previously been a butchers before Matty took over. He now has plans to open outlets across Hull.
Matty, 44, said: "I am a Hull lad and to be able to run my own business here feels great.
"This refurbishment is an investment in the future and something my customers deserve."

“How anybody can bemoan a story about a local business doing well is beyond me. I'd much rather read a story like this than another one concerning greedy unions moaning about their members' lavish taxpayer-funded perks being cut.”
