City about to join the promised land ...
THANKS to a sprinkling of Egyptian magic, Hull City's bid to return to the promised land of the Premier League is starting to gather serious momentum.
Tonight, the Tigers take on Blackburn Rovers at the KC looking for another important three points.

In a speech at London's Mansion House, he confirmed the Hull and Humber City Deal bid had been given the ministerial nod.

It means the city-region – necessary Government jargon describing the area around the estuary – is about to join the promised land of devolved Whitehall decision-making.
That might not sound as exciting as Hull City pitting their wits against the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea next season.
But it does offer the prospect of key decisions on skills funding and planning issues relating to the Humber being made by local people with first-hand knowledge of their patch rather than distant civil servants who tend to take their time about such things.
It also means being able to provide quicker responses to businesses currently looking to locate in the region as part of the much-anticipated boom in renewable energy jobs.
