City rugby teams health plans approved
NHS Hull has agreed to team up with Hull FC and Hull KR in a bid to improve standards of health across the city.
The clubs will receive a share of £1m for health and lifestyle services such as weight management support, smoking cessation and NHS health checks.

The Boulevard
The plans were widely debated at an NHS Hull board meeting this afternoon before the plans were given the go ahead.
The move will see £700,000 invested in creating a new centre at Hull FC's old ground, the Boulevard.
The club will also use the Boulevard for training, relocating from Brantingham Park in Elloughton.
It will continue to use the KC Stadium for home matches.
NHS Hull is also investing £300,000 in setting up health and lifestyle facilities at Hull KR's Craven Park ground in east Hull as part of an expansion of the East Stand.

“I think it is a disgrace to allocate this amount of monies when at the same time the NHS finds it too expensive to supply drugs to colon cancer sufferers. If they want to 'educate' the public re a better lifestyle they ought to open up a centre with leisure facilities and a health eating place, admit the young off the street and teach them a better and healthier way of life. Our football players and rugby players are fit and well otherwise they would not be able to play the games they are invited to. The facilities for spectators IMO is adequate and most certainly no reason to spend tax payers monies i.e. NHS monies when hospitals should be improved/tidied up, medication provided where needed etc. Ingrid”
