ONE of the other organisations to benefit was Surfers Against Sewage (SAS).

The environmental campaign group has received £300 from Avenues Open Gardens.

SAS provides reports of toxicity levels in the sea, campaigns for cleaner beaches and hosts beach cleaning days.

Pippa King said: "We have a lot of coastline in East Yorkshire and a lot of parents want to know the sea is safe for their children.
