Climbing Kilimanjaro for children
Hello, my name is Zacharia Nahouli and I am currently a second year Psychology with Criminology student. During my first year of University, I didn't fully utilize the student life as I was not involved in many societies. However, in my second year, i decided to become more involved so i joined a society called Raising and Giving (RAG). Within two weeks of being part of this society, I was signed up to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for charity. Essentially, I had gone from doing a minimal amount of extra curricular activites, to taking part in one of the largest events of my life. To be honest, I was shocked that i even signed up for it due to the fact that I usually find any excuse to avoid doing physical activity. At first, I was scared of what I had signed up for, but after researching the climb thoroughly, i decided that this will be one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
With this being said, the main reason i signed up for this trip was not just to have this amazing experience of climbing a mountain, but also to have an amazing experience of helping children in need. The climb is an event that is done by a charity called Childreach and over the past few years, they have managed to give more than 300,000 children access to education, better healthcare, and improved rights and protection in countries such as Tanzania and Cambodia. The reason I'm doing this climb is to raise £2450 for Childreach so that they can continue to improve the lives of children, and in order to do this, I will need to do a vast amount of fundraising, with my first fundraising event is bucket collections in Birmingham on the 27th of November. Unfortunately, a percentage of the money does go towards the expenses of the trip, but most of it does go towards the charity and this beneficial cause. And you can help to! By donating just £1 or £2 you can help improve the environment that these children grow up in by giving them a chance at a good education.

So I implore you, if you believe in this cause and want to help children less fortunate than ourselves recieve a better future, please donate to https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/zacnahouli where you can give as much or as little money as you are willing to part with, or you can text UNLOCK 110567 to 70007 to donate £3. Thankyou.
