'Complex investigation'
DETECTIVE Superintendent Richard Fewkes has previously explained the investigation into the mortuary blunder is a complex one.
He said: "From the outset, it was believed this would be a complex and lengthy investigation and this has very much proved to be the case.
"While the inquiry is nearing its end, officers are waiting for approval from international authorities to interview a number of people they believe may be able to assist the investigation, which is causing a slight, but not unexpected, delay.
"Once these inquiries have been completed, the investigation will enter its final stage and detectives will be in a position to approach the Crown Prosecution Service for advice."
