East Riding freezes council tax
It means a band 'D' household in the East Riding will continue to pay £1,212 for council services from April.
Council leader councillor Stephen Parnaby said the authority still faced major financial pressures, with £73m worth of savings needed over the next four years.
Come and discover the wildlife at Blacktoft Sands nature reserve for just £6. Offer includes entry for 2 adults and up to 3 children, binocular hire and activities for children. Normal value £12.
Terms: Redeem voucher at visitor reception during opening hours, 9am to 5pm. Only, one pair of binoculars per voucher, customers will need to leave car keys as a deposit for binoculars.
Contact: 01405 800024
Valid until: Saturday, June 15 2013
He said: "To accommodate this, we will see our services delivered differently, or from different locations, but our aim is to maintain services wherever it is possible, reasonable and practical."

“Disabled people are being forced to pay council tax now, this is the real story here- they could have made them exempt but they haven't. Vote for the caring conservatives and this is what you get=read SPBlakeneys comment typical of these morons”

“Parnaby boasts that further savings are being made by not replacing vacated staff positions and not effecting services! This clearly shows how over staffed, inefficient and poorly managed the council has been. Why did he have to wait for austerity to strike? Why wasn't this done years ago and save the East Riding tax payers money? The fat should have been trimmed before now. Parnaby demonstrates yet again how incompetent and out of touch he is with a lack of financial management which would have been acted upon long before now in the private sector. Its time he went.”

“Oh it's parno's biggest fan (aka Parno himself) Holyjoe2.
Council rents aren't frozen though, but their repair rates are worse than ever. Ask them about their referrals for the elderly and disabled too...”

“Hull's reds need the assistance of a calculator just to buy a paper on the way to the office-the fact of them in charge of a budget of millions is truly frightening.”

“Well done Stephen Parnaby for the freeze on council tax. Why can't Hull freeze theirs and help their citizens instead of wasting money.
