Craig Sandercock: Hull KR were 'own worst enemies'
HULL KR coach Craig Sandercock said his side were their 'own worst enemies' in their 32-24 home defeat by Catalan.
Rovers trailed 26-2 before launching a 22-point revival, but it proved too little, too late.

"There were too many errors, forced off-loads and penalties," said Sandercock, who was starting his second season in charge.
"We worked hard in pre-season not to do those things in the friendly games. It was very disappointing because I really fancied our chances, but the play count was two to one in their favour.

Hudgell has yet again demonstrated his naivety by believing the fantasist,Larvin but to be fair to him,in the Dobbin's dire financial position he has to grasp at every straw that passes by.
The sad part of all this is that the Dobbin's dwindling number of fans (only 5,500 paying fans for the first game of the season) believed that they were going to be the richest club in the super league when in fact they are now prime candidates for administration and Sandycock is the bookies firm favourite to be the first manager to get the sack.
They talk about Ellis sitting in the stands but how many games did Welham play last season and how many will he play this season.Also O'Hara and they daren't think of what will happen when Dobson inevitably gets injured.
However I'm not going to mention Willie Mason and Paul Cooke. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

“How smart were the Cats when we knocked on!! As soon as they picked up the ball they kicked it knowing they would get the scrum if they didn't get the ball back.
That is excellent coaching. When CATS knocked on in the 2nd half near our try line - wha did we do????? Just watch it and wait for CATS to pick it up again so we get the scrum.
We need to smarten up!!! Hull or Leeds never tried the kick from the knock on either, I thought they'd have been more clued up on the new ruling!!”

“I was surprised to see CS leave Tui and Lovegrove on the bench. Starting with Paea and Griffin allowed Catalans big pack to dominate the first half hour. IMO by not going toe-to-toe with the Dragons pack it nullified Rovers impetus and hence the string of unforced errors, and the lapse back to poor defence (it made them their own worst enemy). Such a pity because it was no coincidence that Rovers fight back started from the moment Tui and Lovegrove entered the arena.
When Rovers did get into the groove they looked a very compact side, but a grandstand finish was never on the cards, even though the scoreline made it look possible. Overall the Dragons deserved the win and showed what a very good side they are in the way they dowsed Rovers fire in the last five or so minutes. That's how you close-out games.”
